There are no words we have to accurately describe this video of an out of control tractor trailer truck flying over a highway overpass in Indiana. The only thing we’ll tell you before you watch it is that the driver and his seven year old son both lived through this with minor superficial injuries and that’s a miracle.
The fire comes from the fact that the saddle style fuel tanks were ripped off the truck by guardrails and then the fuel in the tanks ignited. The driver said that he swerved to avoid a car that came into his lane, forcing him off the highway, up the embankment, and then into a flight that no other loaded big rig has ever taken. Watch the whole video, the slow motion replay is surreal.
BE WARNED — THERE IS SWEARING AS THE VIDEO CAME FROM THE CAB OF ANOTHER BIG RIG THAT TWO GUYS WERE IN. THEY REACTED AS WE WOULD, WITH A COUPLE FOUR LETTER WORDS BEFORE JUMPING OUT TO HELP THE GUY AND HIS SON.
This is a good one but I still think the Russian SUV leap was better ; higher and more style points.

That’s the exit on I74 for the Honda plant near Greensburg. My neighbor rolled his semi about 20 miles north when a car did the same thing.

I’m glad the driver and his son are alright, saw it on the national news last night.
You’d see that on the fast and the furious and say they’re pushing it and it can’t happen in real life!
So who else suspects that the driver of the other vehicle was on a cell phone?
