Call us nuts but after you watch the video you may agree that Ken Block’s “Gymkhana” videos have just been owned by a dude in a wildly hot rodded Polaris RZR UTV. If the look is similar that’s because this film was directed by the Martelli Brothers, who made the first three “Gymkhana” videos and it has all of their hallmarks. There’s a stunning location, absolutely breathtaking camera work, mind boggling stunts, and general coolness. RJ Anderson, who is a Polaris factory sponsored UTV racer is at the wheel in this video and his skills are on full display. Watch to see how close he gets to a virtual cliff face while power sliding the Polaris RZR around a corner. He would still be barrel rolling down that thing if he were a foot too deep into that corner.
UTV’s are a wildly popular sub-culture in the off roading world now. Remember when these things were just used by farmers and hunters to do stuff? A few years ago the aftermarket exploded with all kinds of engine and suspension upgrades. This Polaris RZR is probably the most powerful and cutting edge machine in the world at this point. With 200hp on tap, a suspension that seems capable of handling anything thrown at it, Anderson is essentially driving a powerful mini-Baja truck! Watch how the thing lands on some of these jumps. It flies a long way and then touches the Earth like it was landing on a pillow. The little motor sounds TOTALLY pissed and you can hear the blow off valve in a few places when Anderson is on and off the throttle so there seems to be a turbo involved and the intercooler can be seen over Anderson’s shoulder during some of the in-UTV footage.
This video is bad ass and completely on the level with the Ken Block stuff! We want a hot rodded Polaris UTV now!
its like a Halo level IRL
that thing looks fun as hell!!!
Thanks for the love!
Ok. I already wanted one. Now I gotta have one.
Cool Ass Machine! What is the power plant?
sorry to say the green word recycle but i would turn that place into a off road park/race area
