This is some neato footage from Glendive Drag Strip that was taken sometime in the late 1960s. The coolest part about the video is that it’s all muscle car on muscle car action with some hard core looking and running machinery. It is amazing to us that even in the wilds of Montana guys were thrashing stuff at the strip.
This is also a cool look at just how rustic lots of strips were in this era. Note that the return road is just the left edge of the strip with no wall dividing the cars returning and those racing down the track! Also, this was definitely the era for the mailbox style square scoop as lots of cars in this video are packing them. They are rustically bad ass in our opinion!
