We were in a classic Pontiac kind of mood while cruising eBay recently and due to that we located one of the neatest and oddest Poncho performers we’ve ever seen. This is a 1960 Pontiac Bonneville with the “Vista” hardtop. We don’t mean to be crude, but look at the ass on this thing! You could land a helicopter on the trunk lid.
In addition to the body proportions, this big Indian is hiding something else, namely the Tri-Power equipped 389 under the hood! We wish that we could say it has a four-speed but the original owner opted for the Strato-Flight Hydramatic transmission. The eight-lug wheels are super cool and we’d have to guess that the rear is Safe-T-Track equipped.
According to the seller is this a “survivor” and has been living as part of a large car collection for some time. We think that it is an awesome piece and there are few better family haulers out there.
There can’t be many factory tri-power equipped four doors beating around out there. This thing is neato!
