I love watching drifters do what they do best. To some, it’s engines beating up on the rev limiter while another set of tires vaporize into nothing and potential body damage with a flick of the wrist but to me, it’s Fantasia for cars. Drifting is finding the line between car control and loss of control and stepping one foot over that line with a middle finger in the air. If you are less than spot-on, you crash the car and that’s that. If you are dialed in, however, as a driver you make driving the ragged edge look flawless and deceptively easy. And don’t get us started on tandem drifting…it’s already enough just to hang the tail out but when you have a friend who is doing the same thing inches from your car, the likelihood that things can and will go wrong amplifies.
