MasterCraft Safety, builders of some of the finest off-road safety equipment, announced today that they have purchased Bill Simpson’s Impact Racing. Impact Racing by MasterCraft Safety gear will be on display at this week’s IMIS trade show, and again next week at the PRI Show in Orlando Florida. MasterCraft purchased not only the company, but all of Impact’s facilities as well, so Impact Racing employees will continue to manufacture all products here in the USA, and all the staff will continue in their current roles. In an acquisition that brings the best of the dirt world in line with the asphalt community, MasterCraft Safety becomes a true safety giant.
Will Impact be able to overcome the black eye of controversy now that MasterCraft is pulling the strings? Or will Bill Simpson’s controversial career haunt them? Only time will tell, but the fact still remains that without names like Simpson and Deist, racing safety wouldn’t be where it is today.
