Epic eBay Find: A Modern DUKW Made From Either an H1, H2, or Mercedes G55!

Epic eBay Find: A Modern DUKW Made From Either an H1, H2, or Mercedes G55!

Greatest….body kit….ever! This is an H20 ASPT Ocean Rover, not a vintage military DUKW amphibious vehicle. According to the eBay ad, these can be made from a Hummer H1, H2, or Mercedes G55. The vehicle in question is listed with a starting bid of $50,000 and we’re virtually certain that the on pictured is made from a Mercedes G55 based on the shape of the rear windows and rake (or lack thereof) of the windshield.

This isn’t some bizarre looker, it actually floats and cruises around in the water. The seller claims that it is good for salt or fresh water, but has only seen fresh water. Power comes from a four cylinder diesel according to the ad. Did we have to tell you the vehicle is being sold in Florida or did you already guess that?

This certainly does not appear to be something that was slap-dashed together as it incorporates stuff like a bow extension to allow for better performance on the water. Although the water top speed is not listed, the bow extension is there to improve navigation at “high speed”. Can we water ski behind this mother?

There are four days until the auction ends. If a BangShifter buys this creation we demand to take the first sunset booze cruise (in the water, dummy!) with you. It would be totally sweet to pull up next to some snooty guy in a sail boat and blast them with cheap beer as we motored off to assault a beach head somewhere.

Is this too cool or the answer to a question no one asked?
