Blowing donuts on dry pavement and in the snow is totally BangShift approved. We were tipped off to some footage from the early 1960s showing all kinds of cool old junk spinning out in different conditions. If you call yourself a BangShifter, it is virtually impossible for you to have missed the pure bliss of throwing a vehicle into a slide with full left rudder and full throttle in an empty lot or snowy deserted road.
We dig this video for a multitude of reasons, most of which center around the awesome period correct junk being spun out. There is the hood-less hot rod to open the deal, a ’55 Chevy and what looks to be a ’60 or ’61 Chevy also pulling centrifuge duty. This proves that the spin out gene dates back several generations.
