Paul Zazarine, the former editor of Muscle Car Review, Corvette Fever, and the man behind the legendary GTO Restoration Guide, has died. Zazarine was also featured on the Speed Channel’s American Muscle Car series and he was a well known authority on cool American iron.
His passing was a total shock and we’re a few days behind the news, working from the road. We never met Paul in person, but we sure as heck read his stuff as editor over at Muscle Car and we saw him frequently on television as an “expert” for the American Muscle Car show.
This is yet another of those days where we look around and take stock of our family and our stuff. Zazarine was not an old man. We’re reasonably sure that this was a big shock to his family. It certainly hurts the community of journos and bloggers who follow this hobby. We’d say that Paul was an under-appreciated guy in the print world. He was a very knowledgeable guy and talented with his hands.
He’ll be missed by many, including us here at BangShift.com.
