When the prototype for the Chevrolet Impala SS was first built in 1992, the team at Chevrolet knew that they had figured out how to make the otherwise unfortunately-styled Caprice sell. The 1994-96 Impala SS is a neat four-door bomber, a Corvette with room for all of your friends. But Jon Moss, the head sociopath inside the creative department of GM, took that 1992 concept car and turned it into a personalized hot rod, complete with a 510ci big-block in the engine bay, one massive leap in power from the 265 horsepower street car. But even Moss’s personal Toy Box car couldn’t compare with Rick Weatherbee’s Impala SS. Featuring a 572ci big block Chevrolet, twin 88mm turbochargers, and plenty of body lightening, this killer whale has no trouble digging in and hauling ass…and looks stable and smooth doing it, too! Nothing against other cars, but seeing the big B-body working over competition like this just makes us smile!
My favorite 275 car! Just wondering what driveshaft he is running for such a long wheelbase.
It’s a Wiles carbon fiber shaft.
That thing launches arrow straight…no drama, just hooks and GOES!
Just love it I would really like to see and hear it doing some land speed racing
bring it to the ohio mile
