Gearheads all speak the international language of carnage. There’s that initial wince and shudder, immediately followed by the forensic investigation into what happened. While we don’t have the whole story on this catastrophic disassembly, word from a Norwegian website (where the motor and photo originated from) said that the engine did not survive a “rev test”.
We wish we knew the specifics of the test! This is one of those engine failures that left the valve covers and intake manifold unscathed. Everything else looks like it was reduced to 100% USDA prime grade scrap. Ever seen a crank break in this many places?!
