You never know what you are going to find on the internet for sale, but man we weren’t expecting this! This is a Mickey Thompson Mini Dragster from 1969. There were not many of these made, and seeing them is pretty rare. I will say that we have seen other completely stock versions go for as much as $10,000. So, this is a pretty good deal. And we like the modifications that have been done. We want to drive one, because the old pictures of Mickey on them at the track had him pulling big wheel stands since you sit behind the axle. This is super bad ass, and we want it.

Here is what the seller has to say about it:
This a 1969 vintage Mickey Thompson mini dragster .there were 180 of them built . This is one of 11 or 12 that I know off around .mickey Thompson was one of greatest promotors of all time . Unfortunately his life was taken by assassination . Besides racing he also built mini bikes and very few of these dragsters . Mines restored with some intense minor updates. It has a or was a 5 hp now it’s well hard to say . Inside billet stroker rod forged piston Lunati cam Block has been line bored and reworked for maximum hp high performce valves and springs flowed tillason carb and last L&T slider dry clutch the motor is set up for methanol and nitro . Put newer wheels and wildwood brakes .it runs its ready for pick up serious inquiries only. This is a Very rare find you will never see one again most likely. I’m starting out @ 4000$ that price or highest bidder first come first serve . This post will only be on here for couple days then it’s going on a auction starting at that price. Mitch (909) 492-1007
MT sure knew the meaning of FUN!!!
Yes – but you have to get past the seemingly cute dog that can rip the throat out of a Chevy owner within 20 yards….
Minor updates? Those wheels spoil it for me, The cheaper stock ones Mickey used look like they belong.
Looks like the front wheels on both of the early shots are the same, and nice. I think the Moons look good, too.
