Morning Symphony: “Bloky”, The NASCAR-Powered Valiant, Performing Yet Another Ear-Splitting Show!

Morning Symphony: “Bloky”, The NASCAR-Powered Valiant, Performing Yet Another Ear-Splitting Show!

I don’t care how many times I see footage of this green Valiant Regal in action…I love it. I love the fact that it doesn’t have a massive, honkin’ blower sticking up out of the hood. I love the fact that it’s, in it’s purest form, a Mopar A-body that would otherwise qualify as basic transportation when new is an eye-grabbing, ear-scorching screamer that takes one of the best things about NASCAR…that sweet, high-RPM siren’s song…and sticks it into an Aussie-approved instant-fog-bank burnout machine. In a sea of Fords and Holdens, “Bloky” is a refreshing change of pace. If you see the car in action, you can appreciate what is going on, but even if you can’t, your ears are drinking in the noise that the Dodge R5P7 belts out as Daniel Blok stands on the loud pedal. It’s a combination that just works for many reasons…and the best reason as to why old NASCAR blocks should find their way into more private hands!

And yes, I know I’m going full-on fanboy over this Valiant, and I don’t care. The day I ever manage to get to Australia, I will find the next event that Blok is running the car in and will be front and center for the whole damn show.
