We’re officially in the era of the drag strip reunion. If you are a “glass half empty” person you see it as being sad because it reminds us of just how many strips have closed down. We see it the other way, as a celebration of drag racing and local hot rodding history. It is cool to see how many old cars and old racers come out of the wood work to attend these events.
New York BangShifter Jeremy George attended the Tri-Cities show and send us back an awesome gallery of nearly 200 photos showing a lot of neat hot rods, customs, and muscle cars that attended the reunion. Dig the wild Javelin funny car sporting a real deal AMC engine!
Several racers, including our pal Wally Bell were inducted into the track’s hall of fame. A fitting honor to some of the facility’s stand out performers!
