Whenever you see a car, truck, or van in this case, that just makes you feel like taking a trip, it’s a good thing. And that’s exactly what this 1970 Ford Camper van did for us when we saw it. I could immediately see us cruising up the mountain toward the Grand Canyon on a warm summer day. It’s perfect. It makes you want to have vintage law chairs and a vintage awning and to take pictures on a camera you have to wind. Okay, maybe not that last thing, but you get the point.
It’s got a great running 302 for power, a C4 automatic and disc brakes. How can you argue with that? And the paint is new as well! We love the color by the way. And the stock dog dish hubcaps scream cool. Someone buy it and blog about your travels all summer long.

I have wondered at times if there would ever be any value in these, sometimes I\’ll see some old camper-conversion van in a driveway in original-looking condition like it was somebody\’s parents\’ and it\’s being saved like it was. At least they don\’t have the rot problems of a typical class C, or A. I have kept Mom and Dad\’s \’74 short wheelbase snub-nose built for a Panama trip in \’75…you couldn\’t have gone where they went in a full-size motorhome of any type. Also been to Fairbanks, places in the Mid-West, 250K miles on the original short block towing that weight around, but needed a new C4 every five years it\’s whole life.
