Great Video: Hot Cars, Hot Laps, and Melting Tires at Norway’s Arctic Circle Raceway

Great Video: Hot Cars, Hot Laps, and Melting Tires at Norway’s Arctic Circle Raceway

We were tipped off to this great video by BangShift member Blazerteam, who happens to live in a Norwegian town called Mo i Rana. He’s a huge gearhead with a wild big block Chevy powered Chevelle and he’s also a regular racer and hooligan at Arctic Circle Raceway, a beautiful road course located in that very town. This video is kind of a “day in the life” of that track, which is situated on one of the most rustically beautiful pieces of real estate in the world.

The first five minutes put us in the passenger seat of a full boogie Porsche race car with a driver hell bent on wringing the car out to the limits of performance. Following that there’s plenty of tire shredding, corner bending action. Even Arlid’s (Blazerteam) blue Chevelle is seen absolutely annhiliating the rear tires in an awesome smoke show.

Press play below to see the video. If you are anything like us, you’ll be wanting to buy a plane ticket to Norway to see this place for yourself!

    Very cool, well made video!

“Real shifters?” As opposed to…? Sequential gearboxes may be $, but can and will out-shift a classic gearbox most any day of the week.
