(Photos by Joe Grippo) – From the wild Ford GT supercar to the classic fastback Mustang, the performance heritage of the Ford Motor Company is impossible to deny. They embarked on the Total Performance campaign of the 1960s with the honest intention of literally dominating all forms of racing on a global scale and Ford continues to be a major player in the racing scene today. The 2017 Carlisle Ford Nationals celebrated that heritage by displaying and highlighting fantastic Fords from the beginning right up until today.
It is cool to see a show with 3,000 cars of the same brand because you can literally see the engineering evolution of the product and you can see how they have tailored the cars to the tastes of the market both in styling and in performance over the decades.
