This historical video from Maple Grove is great because we see the track as it was during the early 1970s. Many of the features of today are not present. The timing tower has changed and the stands have certainly grown over the years. Other stuff like the wall behind the starting line, the layout of the lanes, and the topography of the area is on full display.
Maple Grove has been owned and operated by the same family since the beginning and that’s one of the other elements we love about it. Not a corporate track, a family track. There are houses literally across the street, there are like 30 different weird winding roads you can take into the joint, and it is all nestled into the woods.
