Does the use of the word “hydraulics” instantly conjure up visions of 1990s lowriders hopping to a beat, or mini-trucks laying out in a parking lot? A trunk full of batteries, hoses that looked more at home on a bucketloader than they ever did on a Nissan sitting on Daytons, and of course, we have to bring back the images of hopping Chevrolets and Cadillacs because of course, that’s what most people remember. What can I say, I’m just as guilty. Somewhere there is a school picture of me in a Rollin’ Hard t-shirt…but we all have things in our past that we try to hide.
Finnegan has more than a slight affinity for hydraulics. The dude is an old-school minitrucker from way back, dating to his days at Sport Truck Magazine. Over the last few years he’s better known for a rotted tin can of a Datsun Z and a Ford truck that wheelies on command then promptly breaks something expensive, but in his spare time he’s got real-deal projects going on at his home base. One of those vehicles is this 1967 Chevrolet C10 that he’s been working on for nearly a decade off-and-on. Lately, it’s been fully on, with major frame surgery and a suspension redesign being tackled with help from Mittler Bros. and MRC Fabrication. It’s hydraulics, but not as you would remember it. There will be no bouncing, no hopping, and no spine-punishing buckboard ride. Check out the fabrication work below:
This guy can spend money like I eat Reeses cups ,and that’s a lot
Thats a Cool set up! Looks pretty dang spendy!
I’m guessing that he is getting a major discount by letting the manufacturer promote his product in the video.
