Big-Time Diesel Square-Off: Do You Like The Monster Mack Or The Insane International School Bus?

Big-Time Diesel Square-Off: Do You Like The Monster Mack Or The Insane International School Bus?

Diesel drag racing doesn’t have to be staging lanes filled with extra trucks from a recent country music video. Bigger rigs, like the “Thump Truck” Kenworth and the semi trucks that race up in Canada are even better than a coal-rolling Cummins Dodge in our eyes. Sorry, diesel pickup fans, but if you show me a Peterbilt that is running high-12s while the driver shifts the box like he’s running behind, I’m more impressed that I can rightfully articulate. It’s why seeing matchups like this one from Puerto Rico always makes me smile a bit. To most, it might seem absolutely absurd to see a Mack Titan that’s built up to look like Pro Stock Semi Tractor squaring off against what every diesel freak in this country only wishes they could do to a chop-topped International short bus, but to us it’s the right amount of crazy. Bullhorns out of the fenderwells and a stance that would make a mini-trucker happy would have every kid fighting for a seat on the bus, and we’ve seen trucks from the Canada scene that would give that Mack a good run for the money. Which one of these two big boys do you think has the grunt to take the stripe at the end?
