Morning Symphony: A Giant Mix From The Ultimate Burnout Challenge In Perth!

Ten straight hours of Australian burnouts. Someone at Greenpeace must’ve been downing their meds like candy, and once they see that someone named McTaggart posted up a video celebrating the destruction of tires and the creations of clouds of nothing but seriously hot exhaust, roasted tire, and the occasional fried engine for good measure, I’m sure that I’ll gain a nice, strongly-worded letter reminding me about who started that fine organization and how I’m a blight to the name. Whatever. Ten hours of some of the most unhinged, competitive gearheads in the world cutting loose obscene horsepower in ways that most people only dream of, let alone attempt, sounds like heaven on earth, and with an armada of screaming fans cheering on the spectacle, it’d be just like home, with my ears ringing and a smile on my face that couldn’t be chiseled off.

According to Flinty, five full truckloads of burnout cars were trucked into Perth for this event and the throwdown was amazing. After the skidpan was paved ten times over with tires that never stood a chance, it was “HOLDON”, a 1969 Holden HT driven by Ryan Pearson, that took the win. If you’ve got the time, give this one a listen. It’s great for when you’re sitting on the exercise bike trying to make the last-ditch effort for a summertime body!
