A Real 1990s Throwback: This 1994 Chevrolet Caprice Is A Mix Of Cruiser, Sport Truck And G-Machine

Yesterday Lohnes showed off a 1960 Edsel that had been converted into a sedan delivery…or a Ford that had been converted into an Edsel…or some kind of Ford product held together by at least $25,000 worth of House of Kolor paints and wheels that were raided off of the 1993 cover of Sport Truck. It’s a period piece, but his claim was that it was the most 1990s car in the world. Nah, sorry, boss…but I’ve got an ace in the hole for you. You see, the 1990s had several defining traits: monochromatic paints, clever touches, and a lot of smoothness. This is also where you start to see the Pro Touring…er, sorry, g-Machine movement kick off as handling became just as important as power. And there is the whole idea of being quite comfortable in the car as you’re enjoying yourself out and about. Air conditioning and seats that beat the hell out of the furniture at the house were all in. Usually, they were in some sort of Chevy or GMC truck, but in the case of this 1994 Chevrolet Caprice, every last trick in the book was thrown in for good measure. Don’t believe me? Here’s the listing verbatim:

See what I mean? It couldn’t be any more 1990s if it drove by thumping Sneaker Pimps down a street lined with imported palm trees at sunset.

All these mods on the car and uses the stock IC? At least put in a Z28 cluster. I like but a little out of reach.

Just goes to prove that when you customize a vehicle to your tastes it may not appeal to others. That’s and the rediculouse minimum bid have resulted in zero bids. Lots of interesting touches and cool modifications.

I love B-Bodies, but this one is too over the top for my taste. I wish the seller luck.
