Mad Skills Yo: Watch This Excavator Operator Literally Plant His Stake With The Bucket

We have often highlighted the seemingly super hero level skills of heavy equipment operators here on BangShift because they are cool. From stacking beer bottles to flipping quarters in a massive forklift, the deft touch and finite skills of operators keep us entertained. The really fun part is the fact that these skills are acquired often during downtime or perhaps during moments of boredom when an operator is in his or her machine and are awaiting the next job to start or the boss to give the order to get back to work.

In this case we have a guy sitting in a big John Deere 290 excavator who appears to be scraping off grass and top layer stuff for the construction of a path of a road of some sort. There’s a long construction stake laying on the ground and this dude uses the machine’s big bucket to gently scoop it up, stand it up, and plant it in the ground. It does not sound like a very complex operation but when you think about what he is doing it with and the fact tat he got it on the first shot is pertinent. This is definitely not the first time that the operator has pulled this move before.

We all need to keep ourselves occupied at work and this seems like a healthier option than destroying the local landscape with a big excavator, right?
