Seven-Second Slammer: Ray Bulach’s Camaro Is Badder Than It’s Ever Been!

Seven-Second Slammer: Ray Bulach’s Camaro Is Badder Than It’s Ever Been!

The wicked blue fourth-gen Camaro was at it again at LS Fest East. Apparently, if you sort through the typical detritus of the Internetz, there is some kind of rivalry between this car and “Leroy the Savage”, the Vette-Kart from Hell, for H-pattern stick-shift supremacy. And a lot of people tend to side with Bulach, partially because he’s been at the gear-bashing game for a minute with this Camaro, and partially because he’s still sporting body panels. Whatever. Both cars are absolute monsters, both drivers are capable, but the Camaro is awesome because this car actively scares the hell out of people when it’s bumped into the beams and starts popping off. With percussions that will have gun nuts paying attention and flames that will have photographers making sure they aren’t about to be flash-roasted, the Camaro is “when the green flag drops, the bullshit stops” in tangible form. It rocks on it’s haunches like a big cat about to go screw up an antelope’s day, sounds like a Hollywood gun battle scene, and when the clutch drops the slicks do their best to rip the asphalt away from the earth. Barking shifts? The whole car seems to collapse for a breath before stepping up for an even harder charge. A new 422ci setup has really woken up the Camaro, and if Bulach says there’s more on the table, we want to be there when he pushes this new combo!
