When Kevin told me that he was actually committed to bringing the well-flooded Pontiac LeMans back to life, I’ll admit that I was skeptical. This car has been sitting next to a creek that liked to overflow it’s banks for decades…the floor was rotted, the electrical system had to be garbage, and the interior very reasonably could’ve been it’s own pandemic Ground Zero after all of those years, But Kevin has a vision, one that brings a Pontiac A-body back to life, with a new mission: Gambling.
Wait…Kevin has the gambling mission, just because he decided to do this project in the first place.
The LeMans is in the middle of being turned into a Gambler 500-style build, featuring a mild lift, off-road tires, and big-block Buick power. Since this car was never going to be a show winner or a Ram Air clone on Kevin’s budget, this was how it was coming back to life and to some of you who were around back in the day, it might sound real familiar: screwed-in floor patches, big-block and wagon springs for a suspension change, and more. He’s been working for the past few months, bit by bit, and he’s (FINALLY) dropped the next update.
Hey, Kevin, here’s a callout: once NCM opens their off-road track to the public, you need to make a road trip!
