TX2K is a weird event. Cool, but weird. I say this because the event has such a strange variety of cars that come together in pursuit of all things quick and fast. If you took the cars and trucks that attend and split them into a couple of different groups, you could have an event for each group and it would seem completely normal. Of course the fact that you have drag racing, roll racing, and the crazy mix of vehicles in attendance is one of the things that makes this event so special and makes others want to be a part of it. There is also some serious rivalries going on at these events, and that’s not only from within a particular group, but also outside of it.
You get the Lambo guys taking on Lambo guys and GTR guys taking on GTR guys, but you get domestic guys showing up to take on cars in the street car category and in other groups that you normally might not expect. The diversity at this event has gone to a whole other level in the past few years and that’s why nobody can stay away. Watch the dragstrip passes on this video because regardless of which cars you like most, there are some machines hauling ass at this event.
