Testing A Twin Turbo Mustang On The Street In Preparation For Asphalt Wars !

Ah the good old street test session. These usually go one of two ways, you either find a spot that you can hang out at all night and make run after run or you find a great spot and get chased off in just a few minutes. Those tend to be the rinse and repeat kind of nights where you just can’t seem to get enough time to make the hits you need without trouble following you. I realize that testing your race car on the street isn’t legal, smart, etc, but sometimes it is really fun and the only way to get your ride ready for a no prep race on a really crappy surface. I can tell you that all the times we’ve done it is tough because you don’t have much time to make adjustments without putting the whole test session at risk.

In this video from Ryan at Street Car Chronicles he’s out with Dave doing some testing in the Grouch which is an LS turbo swapped Fox Mustang. This car is an A to B player most of the time and can run a number when it needs to, especially when you consider that it isn’t a fancy combo at all. Enjoy the video, including the fact that it is Jake’s first time on the streets. This kid will never be the same.

Video Description:

Dave is heading to Indian Valley for some Asphalt Wars and he needs some data on the crappiest surface we can find. He’s going there on the good ole 28’s and as you know Indian valley is a tough surface to handle. So the more data he can get the better off he is at finding a tuneup that works. We faced a few issues but by the end progress was made. This was also Jakes first time making test hits so he was pumped and so was I. We hope you enjoy a little off night testing the Grouch, be sure to hit the LIKE button, Share with a friend and ALWAYS BE SCRIBIN’! and be sure to drop a comment down below. thanks for watching.
