(Photos by David Whealon) – When BS shooter David Whealon sent me a note saying that he was thinking of attending the PDRA Race at Rockingham Dragway and bringing his camera, I was pretty stoked. For starters David is a great photographer and for seconds, I knew that the Rockingham stop on the PDRA tour would be one of their most populated and hardest running of the series, which only has a couple of races left in 2014, if it has that many. Backing up my initial thought, the numbers from the race were strong on performance and strong on free attendance as you’ll see in the photos.
This gallery does a nice job of covering virtually every PDRA class from thundering blown doorslammers, to top dragster, to junior dragster! The PDRA’s first season has been interesting to watch. While we have our opinions on the free ticket deal, we’ll park them here. They certainly had the ears of the fans in Rockingham because the place was jumping and people were freaking out over the show.
