In our continuing effort to bring you some relief from your office job each day, here’s a gallery featuring 60 photos of Chevelles and El Caminos. We may have even thrown in a GMC Sprint or two for good measure along the way! The Chevelle is one of the foundation cars of the muscle car genre of hot rodding and they have been done a zillion different ways. From Pro Street to Pro Touring, to examples powered by diesel engines, if you can think of a way to zoot up a Chevelle, chances are three guys and their cousins have done it. That’s not to discourage creativity, but a simple realistic look at the scene.
The El Camino is also an enduring presence on the classic American iron landscape. Available all the way up into the 1980s, they were the only thing we’ve had (other than the Ford Ranchero) to a ‘Ute here in the USA. They could be had with thrifty six cylinder engines for light work around the farm or muscled all the way up with the brute strength of Rat engines if the only work you had in mind was street racing or grudge night at the drags.

Gee, maybe you could follow this up with the “79 Photos of Chevelles”.
Of course, I’m partial to the one tagged chevelle_035_.
