(Photos by Charles Wickam) – Our man Charles Wickam has had a busy summer. From running around to events to keeping the heavy equipment of Texas rolling, to appearing on freaking America’s Funniest Home Videos (seriously) this guy has been everywhere. One of the place he has been close to home is to the Kemah, Cruise. This is your typical cruise night as there are thousands across the country. Cars and motorcycles of all shapes and sizes gather to hang out, bench race, and generally show off. In this case it is happening in the parking lot of a Home Depot store that is cool enough to be on board with it.
In here you’ll see classics, exotics, and at least one motorcycle we would love to own. It looks like the love for Chevrolet trucks is still going strong in Texas as there are some beautiful examples in there and they are shown in pretty strong volume.
Why do you care about the Kemah Cruise? For the same reasons we do. As long as people are showing up in droves to cruise nights, this hobby and our community is strong. Consider them the canary in the cole mine, right?
