(Photos by Darryl Daniels) – We got a dispatch from our overseas bureau in Australia from frequent BangShift contributor Darryl Daniels recently. Daniels was contacted by a local dude who thought he’d be interested in taking some photos of the neat stuff he has at his place. Boy were we loving this collection of photos when we saw them! Between the cars, trucks, his dragster, the massive collection of parts, and everything else Darryl saw, the dude is our hero! There’s a rear shot of the car in the lead photo and you have to see how the old time hot rodders that built it cut holes in the roof for the upright of the roll bar and then connected it across all the way up in the breeze. We love stuff like that.
Here’s what Darryl said about this awesome treasure trove of stuff: “A phone call from Kym ”Slightly Dangerous” White had me driving out his way and what a little gold mine I came across when I finally found him. It just goes to show , you don’t have to drive a zillion miles to find and appreciate old tin.Kym races a old front engine dragster and does quite well with a combo that isn’t a big budget power plant but real old school and its doing well. He’s into preserving as much old drag racing equipment as he can find.”

I don’t think it’s a rollbar on the EK Holden, think it has been cut into shooting car; see how the parcel shelf has been cut out, blokes would have stood in the back there and hung onto that bar as they chased whatever in the outback.
spot on mate ,it used and abused by roo shooters!
yep, roo shooting wagon.the bar across the top could be used to hang onto or rest your gun against. Jeez, it seems when we were younger everybody and his dog (literally!) went out roo shooting…Australia’s probably he only country on the planet where we shoot our coat of arms….
