(Words and photos by Doug Gregory) – Last gallery of our coverage from the 2016 NSRA Street Rod Nationals in Louisville, KY. If you haven’t been to one of these I urge you to do so. There is so much going on and SO many cars you will not have a chance to see it all. Most of the cars move around from time to time and drive through the grounds. This is not a sit-all-day show waiting for judges to check your car for smudges on the windows.
This is real gearhead stuff and I’ve never found anyone that didn’t want to talk about their car, project, experiences, or whatever. It’s a friendly, laid-back atmosphere that is a total treat for the eyes and ears. Just driving to the event can be a car show of its own as most do not trailer their cars and none of the cars (except the inside cars and swap meet) are allowed in the gate on a trailer. Go out to dinner or cruise the hotel parking lots at the end of the day and it seems like a forever cruise-in across the city. If you go I’m going to bet you’ll come back.
