Houston Autorama 2015: More Cool Cars, Trucks, Hot Rods, and People

(Photos by Charles Wickam) – People who don’t get cars cannot fathom how a people would spend part of a day, let alone multiple days checking out a car show. They don’t understand that every car or truck on display is different, interesting, and has something to show you from a mechanical or design perspective. Whether you are there to talk with the owners and get the information behind their incredible machines or simply there just to take it all in and escape from the real world for a day or two, there’s something for you to be occupied with.

We have been following Gene Winfield and the chop job that he laid on the old coupe at the show. Yesterday he was cutting and welding. In today’s photos, the reattachment process begins and he’s front and center with the blue tipped wrench in his hand. As they say, “Old guys rule”, right?

Some of the cars that made up the “Magnificent 7” from the event are in this gallery. They are among the nicest hot rods and cars in the country, bar none. This was a very high caliber even and Charles has been brining it your way!

That is one bizzare 63-64 Riviera… It looks so smoothed that I wonder how much bondo is in it.

The car has been around for a number of years, there were decals in the trunk area of a number of shows it has been to in the past
