(Photos by Charles Wickam) – We’re back with more Keels and Wheels 2016 coverage from Seabrook, Texas. For those people who do no live near the ocean or any large bodies of water and are thinking it is weird to have boats and cars share the spotlight at the same event, you need to look at the photos below and it will all make sense. With the automotive theme of muscle cars, Duesenberg, and concept cars on land and on the boat side, Chris Craft racing runabouts class abounds at this event. Many of the cars and the boats are rightfully considered modern artwork. We have not been in the presence of many Duesenbergs in our lives but every time we have seen or been near one, they have their own gravitational field. Amazing stuff.
Keels and Wheels does important charity work every year, supporting causes that help kids and do other important work in the community. No, this is not a show you wander in with your cutoffs on and just traipse around. For some that is a turn off but for us, we think that the elevated approach to this show fits the caliber of the equipment and the caliber of the location.
More coming tomorrow!

Are my eyes playing tricks on me or am I seeing a yellow Chrysler Dual Ghia in the pictures above?
The yellow Ghia is the Prototype for the Dual Ghia that followed.
