(Words and photos by Doug Gregory) – More cruise coverage from Filmore’s Dairy Hut in Florence, KY. Thought we’d been to Filmore’s for several cruise-ins we’d never ate there because our typical trip had a stopping before to get grub. This time the kids wanted to try it out and we’re glad we did. Good burgers, chicken strips, fries, and of course the shakes. Technically I am not supposed to have a shake, but periodically I will indulge. It was tasty.
We really enjoy small town cruises and shows because it brings out some good variety and, let’s face it, if everyone built the same things the same way we liked the whole scene would get dull quick. This group of photos has everything from late-model muscle to stone-stock restored icons. The tri-power ‘Vette was very sweet as was the green early-50s custom. The well-stanced, blue Chevy B-body had some cool graphics on the air cleaner lid and valve covers. We even happened upon a Cadillac XLR and we hadn’t seen one of those in years.
Enjoy the photos.
