The Long Beach Swap Meet is my favorite. I know that Pomona is bigger, but if you want deals, and don’t want to weed through toys and crap, then the Long Beach Swap Meet is the place to go. Don’t mistake my preference for a lack of understanding. Here in Southern California we have two of the best swap meets in the country almost every single month. And I’m thankful. But this past weekend, while sitting at home trying not to die from the flu, our dude of dudes Bob Chiluk went down to Long Beach and shot a cool gallery of photos despite rain and a weak turnout. And he got shots of some cool stuff! Have you ever seen a Hemi head for a small block Chevrolet like the one in the photo below? If you have we want info. Like pronto. Email me. [email protected].
Both the Pomona and Long Beach swap meets are on my bucket list along with about half a dozen other car related events, maybe as early as March! A friend of mine (another gearhead) is out in L.A. right now and I’d told him about the Long Beach meet coming up last Sunday and he didn’t even go, I would have been there even if it was snowing!
I would wager that Bob has contributed more photos of VW buses than any other photographer on BangShift.
So wait a second. You mean to tell me that Pomona and LBC have these swap meets every month?
Pomona is every six weeks, I don’t know Long Beach’s schedule.
Long Beach is every month. I think Pomona is 10 times a year.
Thank you for the auspicious writeup. It in fact used to be a enjoyment account it. Look complicated to more added agreeable from you! However, how could we be in contact?
Curious what the price on that 71/72 Roadrunner.
