Newbern is back at it with another installment on the C50 ramp truck build. He’s taking a couple of donor vehicles and putting them together to make his dream ramp truck and we can’t wait to see this thing completed. But before we can get there, the disassembly needs to continue. Check out the progress and let us know what you think.
If you don’t pay attention, or haven’t watched Newbern’s channel much, you might not know that he’s gotten a few important projects in recent years that are now going to come together to make something truly special, a C50 Chevrolet Ramp Truck. Yep, after driving one for years over at Finnegan’s, he’s ready for one of his own and has put together the right combo of trucks that can now come together to be something really special.
This is Ramp Truck build video #2, but if you missed the first one use the link below.

Video Description:
Welcome to Newbern’s Garage!
Big progress in the shop today. We’re pulling the cab off my 1968 Chevy C50 so we can start mocking it up on the new chassis and move one step closer to bringing this Ramp Truck to life. Removing the cab is a huge milestone in the build and finally lets us see what we’re working with underneath. At the same time, we’re also pulling the engine out of my 1991 Fox Body Mustang to start getting it ready for Hot Rod Drag Week 2026.
There’s a lot of work ahead to get this car ready for one of the toughest drag-and-drive events out there. If you enjoy classic truck builds, Fox Body Mustangs, drag racing, and real garage projects, you’re in the right place. Subscribe and follow along as we rebuild the C50 and prepare the Mustang for Drag Week!
