(Words and photos by Doug Gregory) – If you’ve made it this far you might as well see the rest of them. If you notice some of the photos are in a parking lot at night. There are several little events leading up to the Saturday afternoon thing downtown. There’s a cruise-in at the local Steak-N-Shake one evening. Friday around noon they have a gathering out at Danny’s Rod Shop North of Town on Highway 27. Friday night they have what si basically a block party out behind the Somerset Mall with live music, inflatables for the kids, and more. Saturday mornings there is usually a cruise to a nearby attraction. When I call Somernites Cruise an ‘event’ I certainly mean it. Just hanging out with like-minded folks at the hotels and parking lots is a blast.
In this one:
Dan Gurney Special Cougar (cosmetic-only thing L-M did back in ’67 and ’68)
A Crosley Super
’69 Mustang that has everything going for it – wheels, color, and stance.
Fiero – remember those…?
Really Red Willy 4wd pickup.
Pink Vette (I think it’s on Brian’s wish list)
SRT-4 Skittle – also known as the Neon.
Enjoy.
