(Photos by Robin Flanagan) Goodguys shows are awesome, regardless of where they are at, but because there are more than a dozen different venues, each one has its own personality. For me, none are more special than the events held at the home of the Goodguys in Pleasanton California. P-Town as the locals call it, was the site of this last weekend’s 24th Goodguys Summer Get-Together, and the cars, weather, racing, and crowds couldn’t have been better.
The Pleasanton Fairgrounds are unique because the layout is like a small town, with both grass and paved parking areas, featuring lots of “roads” to cruise on as well. This is most certainly a moving car show, and we always love coming to Pleasanton. Growing up in Northern California, the Goodguys shows and swap meets were as responsible for many of the parts I bought to build my Camaro growing up.
