Mecum Auctions Harrisburg Gallery: Here’s The Black Friday Sale We’re Interested In!

(Photos: Joe Grippo) It’s a thing I developed in Arizona and have carried with me since: the love of roaming the auction fields. Getting a bunch of desirable cars together in one place? I don’t care what that’s about, I want in. Places like Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale and the Russo and Steele location a short drive away left me skipping up and down the aisles as if I was Grandpa Joe, fresh out of bed and ready to tour Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory, golden ticket in hand and pure-of-heart grandchild providing the perfect excuse for getting through the gates.

Joe Grippo went roaming through the Mecum Auction held in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania earlier this year and believe me, if you were in his shoes you’d be window-shopping as if it’s two days before Christmas and you found enough coin left over to get something nice for yourself. Don’t believe me? Here’s two options: the 1974 Chevrolet Camaro that looks like a tribute build to the one known 1974 Phase III Motion Camaro that went to Iran and a very wicked-looking Plymouth that looks ready to kick the hell out of the nearest punk in a late 1990s Mustang. Which one would I choose? Hell, I don’t know if I could! Check out more of what was lined up for the auction block and see if there’s anything that could capture your heart by clicking on a photo below:
