(Photos by Charles Wickam) – We’re back with more Charles Wickam snaps from the 2018 C10s In The Park presented by Brothers Trucks. There were more than 850 entries into the event in 2018 and there were a raft of vendors and companies set up displaying their wares for enthusiasts to check out. The trucks were not all C10s but they were all GM products of varying years and eras. As you will see, the current trend seems to revolve around dumping C10s of the 1973-1987 era onto their frames. There are a load of well turned out rigs in this gallery and while they may not all be your taste, we can all respect that someone’s got their heart and soul poured into these trucks.
It is funny how these things all come on like a locomotive, right? The same cycle of popularity has followed every trendy car from the 1960s on up. Stuff exists, stuff falls out of favor, stuff becomes uncool, stuff becomes cheap, stuff becomes attractive, and all of a sudden, stuff becomes popular and cool again! If you built a 1978 Chevy truck 5 years ago it would have just been lost in the crowd. Now you are one of the cool kids that is right on top of the current scene. It’s the nature of hot rodding and it’ll go on forever.
Charles did a nice job with these photos. Check them out!
Dubs, airbags, patina. A parade of cliches.
