We’re back with more great photos from sunny SoCal and more specifically a great car show we recently attended in Huntington Beach, California. In the first group of photos there were VW vans, hot rods, muscle cars, and creampuff cruisers. This batch of photos has lots of cool muscle car era machines, trucks, and generally fun stuff.
We love large, low-key shows like this because they show something that seems to be insanely lacking in today’s world, unity. They show a group of people who are there to have a good time sharing a common interest and common loves. Day in and day out we get beaten over the head with crummy news, conflict, and reasons to be either unhappy or downright angry. This is the opposite of that and one of the reasons why we love being into cars.
To people who don’t know or appreciate the machines, this is just a bunch of loud, nicely painted old stuff. To the rest of us, this is blood, sweat, tears, and talent on display that you can actually use. Cars shows are great for the cars, they are better for the people, and they are best for what the whole scene means in the greater context of the event.
We’re off the soap box, enjoy the photos!
