The 14th Annual Fall Redneck Rumble: Come One, Come All!

The 14th Annual Fall Redneck Rumble: Come One, Come All!

The general rule of the Redneck Rumble: If it’s older than 1980, there’s a very solid chance you will see it, and the older it gets, the higher the likelihood that you’ll see it. Whether your kick is for old Chevy trucks or the Cummins-swapped 1950 Buick that was laying low out in the grass, rat rods to your heart’s content or a 1973 Plymouth Satellite wearing a Superbird wing, it’s there. I know it sounds like I’m tooting the same old horn about the amount of vehicles there, but I finally have some visual proof.

Unless you’re Chad and you have a strong RV kick, you probably don’t remember the Trans Van. Built on all three major van platforms (and represented here as a facelifted Dodge B-van), the Trans Van was more than a conversion van, less than your typical Class C motorhome, and it was festooned with disco graphics and the taillights of a 1978 Pontiac Catalina. This little go-kart was ripping around, weaving in and out of the plethora of minibikes that were out and about.
