The most disappointing thing about being at the PRI Show in Indy was the fact that Darr and I had to miss the Mooneyes X-Mas Party and Drags at Irwindale. This is one of the premier events of the year in Southern California and is always a bitchin time. Cars and truck of all kinds, whether customs, lowriders, hot rods, drag cars or vans can be found all over the show grounds and people from all walks of life are hanging out partying and enjoying each others rides. This show, more than any other, really personifies the car culture in Southern California because of its variety. We LOVE this show. And since Chico and the entire Mooneyes staff are on hand making sure everyone is having a great time, you are assured that this is going to be a good show.

And did I forget to mention the coolest vendors anywhere? Or the pinup girl contest? Or the fact that tons of people are dressed up in the garb of their scene? Yeah, it’s an amazing show of not only cars, but people as well. And if you want the best haircuts in SoCal this is the place to go to get your hair did.

Like always, the show was packed early. If you aren’t here on time, you’ll be one of the folks having to park your hot rod in general parking because this place fills up fast. Luckily for you we had a BangShifter on site shooting his ass off and we got all the photos you can stand. Almost 600 of them actually and that means you are going to have photos all weekend long to check out. Tomorrow we’ll have car show AND drag racing photos.
