This 2010 Dodge Challenger Drag Pak Is Up For Sale! Bring A 727 And Get Ready To Party!

You know the Dodge Challenger Drag Pak as the race-only variation of Mopar’s musclecar. Limited run, big on power, weighs nearly 1,000 pounds less than the standard production model, and without question, not street legal…no VIN, no emissions controls, no unnecessary BS to deal with. It’s a factory-built drag car, a body-in-white set to kill as delivered, packing everything you need to put a Challenger into a number of classes, including Stock Eliminator. Except…there’s one thing about all of the modern drag cars that keeps cropping up: who is going to be the first person busted with one of these machines on the street?

Take this 2010 Drag Pak we found on eBay. It’s #55 from the 2010 run, is set up for a 6.1L and is currently prepared to take a 727 automatic in place of the standard NAG-1 unit. It’s been a work in progress, and it’s not completely finished (especially if the pictures of it wearing the wagon-spoke wheels they shipped with are recent) but what, really, is stopping someone from putting on a rear spoiler, R/T stripes, and a license plate that may or may not be legit? We are just waiting for the day that video hits YouTube. Don’t be that person…remember that there is no VIN tag. Dress the car up as a street car, and trailer it into every grudge race you can think of. Have a ball there instead.

From the listing: “I bought this in 2010 and sent it to MPR Race Cars in Michigan for installation of the 4 link rear suspension, roll cage, fuel cell, fuel pump mounts, line lock, drive shaft loop, weight box,  kill switch, Afco rear shocks,  Strange Engineering Dana 60 rear and plumbing of the brake systems.  The pictures show the quality of the work.  Rear end and suspension is powder coated.  Roll cage is painted.

This car still needs to be finished.  The motor is untouched.  Wiring and fuel injection control is needed.  Fuel lines need to be run.  Needs a transmission.  Needs front shocks.  The car currently has a drive shaft and transmission mounts for a 727 but could be set up for other transmissions.  Needs wheels and tires.  Need headers.  Front and rear windshield not glued in yet.  Probably other things as well.  Everything done is stated in this ad or shown in the pictures.

The hood was painted orangasol black and the Duz fasteners were aligned and permanently installed.   The white body is ready for graphics.”
