2015 NHRA New England Hot Rod Reunion Coverage: Photos From The Show AND The Strip

Photos by Rich Pasley – The 2015 NHRA New England Hot Rod Reunion was definitely the best one that race organizers and contestants have seen since the event’s conception several years ago. Weird weather weekends and other factors had put a damper on the nostalgia race but this year none of that stuff played into the program at all. The entire weekend as sunny and warm, the racing drew hundreds and hundreds of cars, the car show itself had multiple hundreds of entries, and at the end of it all, there was a fantastic Cacklefest and some of the fastest drag iron on the eastern side of the country was there.

These events are meant to walk the line between a tough racing environment and a friendly gathering to remember the history of the sport. We’d say that judging by Rich Pasley’s photos, that mission was accomplished to a T at Epping. Having had Rich there was well as another man on the inside of the event (my dad who was racing two classes) they both echoed the same sentiment that the event was bigger and healthier than ever.

We appreciate the NHRA Wally Parks Motorsports Museum and what they do for the nostalgia drag racing community. We understand that these events are put on to raise money for the museum, and we sincerely hope that they keep coming back to Epping. 2015 showed that the facility and the people of the region certainly can handle and embrace this event!
