(Photos by Joe Grippo) – No we’re not done yet with sweet photo coverage from the 2017 FE Race and Reunion at Beaver Springs Dragway in Pennsylvania. Joe Grippo’s photos are great and capture both the fun nature of the cars but also the neat and truly unique environment at the track. Beaver Springs Dragway is a very well run, very well maintained, and very much nostalgic race track. There’s lots of grass runout on both sides of the course and there is an overall feel of history in the place. It also hooks like it is paved with Gorilla Glue.

An event like the FE Race and Reunion is always better at a place like Beaver Springs. As much as a drag strip is a drag strip, there’s something to be said for seeing these historic cars in a location that captures them in a way that everyone can appreciate. Holding this race at a modern super track would be fine but when you see these photos you’ll understand why there’s no place like home and for this race that means Beaver Springs.
