(Photos by James Champion) – So we’ve taken you through some pre-race photos, given you a taste of what the fans see on Sunday morning and now we are going to dive into eliminations at the 2018 Amalie Oil NHRA Gatornationals. It was an exciting Sunday at the event and the place was rocking as the nitro cars kicked things off as they always do. Top fuel and funny car lead the way followed by the pro stockers, the pro stock bikes, the nitro bikes, and the pro mods. Then there are the sportsman cars to run as well. They all kick ass.

In this collection of photos we’ll see all that stuff from nitro harley and top fuel dragsters right on to to the competition eliminator cars as well. The Sunday package at an NHRA race is as tight as anything you will see in the sport of drag racing and it is pretty much constant action from end to end. Once the national anthem ends and the cars fire, I compare it to a snowball rolling down hill. It keeps gathering more and more steam and then we’re at the finals before you know it.
