(Photos by Dave Nutting) – We’re back with more photos from the blown out 2018 NHRA New England Nationals. Dave Nutting killed the images at this race, capturing one of the most rarely seen photos in the world of drag racing. It is the lead photo in this image and it shows Clay Millican accelerating at full bore in his top fuel dragster as the parachute has come out and blossomed almost immediately off the starting line. Flames up, ‘chute out, and the tower still in the frame is not something that anyone usually captures, no matter the track or race!

On a personal note it was a ton of fun to be back at my home track and hanging out with people I have known for more than half my life. The local racers to New England Dragway proved how good they were by going deep in the rounds and people like Debbie DiGenova kicked ass for the second year in a row taking home the back to back Wally in RacingRVs.com Top Dragster!
