(Photos by Benoit Pigeon) – Just when you thought it was safe to go outside we are back with more awesome Benoit Pigeon photos from the 2018 NHRA Fitzgerald USA Thunder Valley Nationals. Apologies for the delay on these sweet images but better late than never, right? Unlike New England Dragway which is 90ft above sea level, the air in Bristol was about 4,500 during the high heat and humidity condition we experienced. The place is already an elevation track, basically so it is not historically the quickest place in the world but when you added all the other factors, things really got hard for crew chiefs and crews alike. In this gallery you will see a great collection of photos that span classes like Mickey Thompson top fuel Harley, stock eliminator, the SAM Tech factory stock showdown. Bristol was a pretty crazy race. The setting of the track is incredible, the track itself however has gotten a little rough over the years and after being in Virginia at one of the flattest and smoothest strips in the world the weekend before, it was giving everyone fits.
